Annual Maintenance of the Mechanical Equipment at Doha East Power & Water Distillations Stations, Kuwait:

The Ministry of Electricity & Wate and Renewable Energy, Kuwait, has awarded a prestigious tender for Annual Maintenance of the Mechanical Equipment at Doha East Power & Water Distillations Stations., Kuwait, to SOGEX Oman Co. recently. The project term is five (05) years from September 2024.

Doha East Power Station has 7 (seven) steam turbine units supplied and commissioned by M/S. Toshiba Corporation. All steam turbine units are fully operational and all available auxiliary equipment in full working condition. The capacity of each Steam turbine unit is 150 MW.

Doha East power and water distillation station has 7 (seven) boilers rating 650 ton/hour/unit. Four of them have the steam generating units supplied by Ws. Fives Cail Babcock, France and the remaining three are supplied by M/S. IHI, Japan.

Doha East Power and water distillation has 7 (Seven) distillers producing 6 Million IGP per /day/unit supplied by M/S. IHI, Japan between 1978-1979. The production of distillate water is done through MSF (Multi-stage Flashing) Process.

The intake area of DEPS contains the main pumps of the station which supplies sea water to various equipment.
