Due to Industrial trends, SOGEX adopted a new emerging strategy that went further beyond just Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of power and water plants, into other multiple regional long term partnerships, Joint Ventures (JVs) and investments with different power and water project developers.
SOGEX offers its services and technical expertise in developing future projects such as Independent Water & Power Projects, Independent Water Projects & Independent Power Projects (IWPP, IWP & IPP).

D. Under Operation and Maintenance of Power & Desalination Plants, SOGEX Oman offers following services (To guarantee and maintain excellent quality and performance)
# Major and hot gas path inspection of gas turbines and assessment of turbine parts
# Inspection & maintenance of high voltage switchgears
# Inspection & maintenance of all critical plant equipments
- Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation and control support services during scheduled and unscheduled Plant outages.
- Supply Erection & Commissioning of Pumping Stations, Reverse Osmosis (RO) & Sewage Treatment Plants.
D. Under Operation and Maintenance of Power & Desalination Plants, SOGEX Oman offers following services (To guarantee and maintain excellent quality and performance)
- Implement internationally approved standards and management systems related to O&M and control of Power and Desalination Plants and other similar industrial compounds.
- Ensure availability, at all times, of highly qualified experienced and well trained technical & administrative people in the field of Power & Desalination Operations and management as required by clients.
- Follow up to ensure implementation of the internationally approved procedures for Quality Control and Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE).
- Prepare the Maintenance programs and procedures as recommended by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and amend the same to comply with the site experience as gained from the actual site operating conditions of all equipment.
- Management, procurement and maintenance of spare parts and maintenance O & M historical data of each equipment by utilizing the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) like MAXIMO, SAP etc...
- In order to ensure proper quality control for maintenance of equipment and to guarantee receiving the latest information and modifications from the OEM, the following Maintenance and inspections shall be made under the supervision and guidance of OEM personnel and all these activities shall be certified by the OEM supervisor.
# Major and hot gas path inspection of gas turbines and assessment of turbine parts

# Inspection & maintenance of all critical plant equipments
- Execution of periodical & preventive Maintenance for all plant equipment as planned in order to ensure safe, stable and reliable operations of these equipments to ensure high availability of plant.
- Operate, manage plant stores, and procure spare parts to ensure completion of maintenance jobs in time as planned. Computerized management systems are used to manage the stores..
- Prepare and implement a continuous training programs suitable for employees working in both water and power plants during different stages of O & M projects (pre-commissioning, commissioning)
- In order to update employee technical knowledge SOGEX prepares on-job training programs for all employees in different disciplines within the plants.
- SOGEX considers Training local nationals as an integral long term policy, by providing training and updating the same throughout their service.
- SOGEX Oman is committed to implement safety rules and regulations stringently. SOGEX safety policy stresses that safety is FIRST concerning People, Equipment and Environment. Accordingly all the safety procedures and regulations, which are applied in the power & water desalination plants, are meeting international safety regulations.
- Annual safety inspections and certification of High Pressure Vessels (BOILERS) and all associated safety systems and equipment are made under direct and strict supervision of international certification authorities. All cranes, and lifting tackles are tested and certified for safe operation.
- SOGEX Oman applies necessary Insurance Policies as applicable and required.
- As part of our commitment and social responsibility to support local markets, SOGEX Oman gives priority for procurement of local manufactured products and local service providers.
- SOGEX Oman has rich experience in negotiating, managing and implementing all types of Long Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) with different Original Equipments Manufacturers (OEMs)
